just alittle help

Everyday life.A little more doable.

My ADHD coaching starts with what you want to achieve in your life. We work together on practical things that could help you get there, from keeping commitments to making time for what matters to you.

This week, a little simpler.
One thing that matters.
A first step you can start.
Room to try, review, adjust.

A plan that fits you.
And a person to think it through with.

Make it specific.
Make it useful to you.

The practical work depends on what you want it to make possible. These examples show some things we could explore together; your own priorities shape where we begin.

01 / Relationships & commitments

“I want my partner to be able to count on me.”

Remembering commitments could be part of rebuilding trust. You might also want more time together for affection, intimacy or a more satisfying sex life.

What we could explore together

We could look at which commitments slip, how you keep track of them and what gets in the way of time together, starting with what you want to change.

Something we could tryA reminder for a commitment you’ve made, or a weekly plan that protects time together.

02 / Money & choices

“I want more security and more choices.”

You may want to understand where your money goes and build habits that support paying bills and saving for the things you want.

What we could explore together

We could explore when spending gets away from you and try ways to make everyday money habits easier to follow, such as a pause before buying or a regular time to check upcoming bills.

Something we could tryA short weekly money check and a way to keep your own spending priorities in view.

03 / Work that matters

“I want to pursue work I care about.”

Starting and finishing a project, application or course could help you move towards a career you find satisfying, but the work may keep stalling.

What we could explore together

We could look at the point where you get stuck, clarify what needs to happen and practise a first step together. Then we’d work out how to return to it when your attention moves elsewhere.

Something we could tryA manageable project plan with a clear next action and a cue to pick it up again.

04 / Time for yourself

“I want room for more than keeping up.”

When everyday admin takes up your spare time, friends, interests and rest can be the first things to disappear. You might want more freedom over how you spend your week.

What we could explore together

We could look at what really needs doing, what can be simplified and which routines are worth keeping, while making space for the things you want time for.

Something we could tryA simpler admin routine and a plan that includes time for friends, interests or rest.

How I approach coaching

My philosophy is very simple - I help identify what you really want to achieve and work with you on practical things that take you closer to your goal.

That could mean a closer relationship, greater financial security, satisfying work or more freedom to spend your time as you choose. You define what matters. I want to understand what is happening for you, what you’ve already tried and what is working before we decide what to change.

From there, we work on practical things that could move you towards that goal. A reminder might help you keep a commitment to your partner; a way to get started might help you finish an application for work you care about. We’ll build an approach together, try it in your everyday life and use what happens to decide what to keep or change.

I’ll ask questions, offer practical ideas and help you put them into practice, with the aim of developing skills you can use for yourself. When we review how things are going, we’ll consider whether the work is helping you live more of the life you want, as well as whether a task got done.

My coaching works alongside clinical care. Our work focuses on the practical changes you want to make in everyday life, while your health professionals provide assessment, treatment and other clinical support.

What I bring to coaching

My professional experience

I led talent development programs and the emerging leaders program at TikTok. At global consulting firm EY, I was responsible for employee experiences and on-the-job development, and sat on the global talent executive for the consulting business.

Helping people build the skills they need for their work has been central to my career. That experience informs how I coach: understanding what someone wants to achieve, working through what gets in the way and helping them put an approach into practice.

My experience of ADHD

I built that career while living with ADHD I didn’t yet know I had. Developing my own skills and finding ways to use them helped me get there, even when things were difficult. I was diagnosed later in life, and understanding how I work and getting support has made life more manageable.

I know what it’s like to understand what needs doing and still find it hard to make it happen. That’s part of why I offer practical coaching and volunteer the free chats: this is the kind of support I wish I’d had while finding my own way.

How that shapes our work

I bring that professional experience and personal understanding to the goals you choose. We can work through a real situation, build something useful together and review how it works in your life. My aim is to help you develop skills and confidence you can use for yourself.

Sessions shaped around your progress

I want our work to help you make real progress towards what matters to you. We’ll review what’s changing and whether the support is useful, and adjust our approach when it needs to change. You pay for each session you book and decide whether to book another, so you can continue while the work is helping without feeling locked in.

You’re also welcome to use the free chat to ask about coaching. There’s no expectation of booking a paid session.

Before we talk.

Do I need a formal diagnosis?

No. This is practical coaching for adults, including people exploring ADHD or waiting for an assessment. Coaching does not assess or confirm an ADHD diagnosis.

Is this therapy or clinical care?

Coaching works alongside clinical care and focuses on practical skills and the goals you choose. Assessment, counselling, psychological therapy and treatment remain with the relevant health professionals.

What if I don’t know what I want to work on?

We can begin by exploring what you’d like to be different in your life and what keeps getting in the way. That gives us a starting point for choosing something practical to work on together.

How often would we meet?

Sessions are 60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly depending on your goals and what fits your life. We would agree the pace together and review whether it is useful.

What is included in the $99 session?

A 60-minute online session with Ben, focused on your priorities, and a short written recap of the next step we agree. You pay for each session you book and decide whether to book another.

Can the free chat help with assessment steps?

Yes. I volunteer the free chat to help adults find their next step, whether or not they are interested in coaching. We can talk through general assessment steps, questions to ask providers and finding ongoing support. I share general information and personal experience; I don’t provide testing, diagnosis or medical advice.

Do I have to explain everything in a form?

No. The request form only needs your first name, email and permission to contact you. I’ll reply to arrange a time. There’s no need to send medical records or your life story.

Is coaching online or in person?

Coaching sessions are online using Google Meet, for adults across Australia. If you’re in Geelong, the Surf Coast or Bellarine and prefer to meet in person, we can discuss what might be possible.

What would you like a little help with?

The free chat is volunteer support. You can ask about coaching, but there’s no expectation of booking it.
